Meeting/Event Information

Due to the unfortunate timing and track of Hurricane Nate, the NTTD Executive Board was tasked with the difficult decision to cancel the 2017 conference scheduled during October in Point Clear, Alabama.  All registration fees have been refunded and we would like to apologize for any inconvenience this unforeseen cancellation has caused anyone. 

The Executive Board has scheduled a virtual Business Meeting tentatively for December 11th, during which we will vote to fill vacant Executive Board positions, discuss additional imperative business items and participate in intriguing webinars.  In regards to this virtual Business Meeting please note the following: 

  • Membership - As a consequence of all paid registration fees being refunded, there are currently no paid membership dues since they are now included in registration fees.  Without any paid membership dues, we currently have no active members.  According to our Bylaws “Membership dues of $25.00 per fiscal year (i.e. July 1 – June 30) are required to be deemed an active member of NTTD.”  Membership dues can easily be paid on our website by following this link: , please do so no later than Friday, December 1, 2017.  According to our Bylaws “membership consists of an employee of any State Transportation Departments in the United States, AASHTO; FHWA/NHI; Canadian Provinces; local governmental entities; consultants; contractors; university representatives; and all other transportation related organizations.”
  • Call for Nominations  NTTD is issuing a Call for Nominations for the following Executive Board positions: 
  • President
  • Secretary
  • Emerging Technology

Serving on the Executive Board is extremely rewarding, and we are in such an exciting period of growth!  Please consider nominating someone or yourself for one of these roles.  The Call for Nominations Form is attached, and should be submitted directly to no later than December 1, 2017See the NTTD Bylaws which will provide an explanation of the expectations of each of the above referenced positions as well as who is eligible to serve on the Executive Board.  Remember for a nomination to be considered, the individual must be an active member. 

  • Virtual Business Meeting –Scheduled December 11, 2017 at 12:30 CST, this meeting will last for approximately two hours or less.  According to our Bylaws, “to be eligible to vote at the NTTD Annual Business Meeting, a member must be in active status.  Active status is defined as the following: a current employee of any of the aforementioned agencies/organizations and current in the payment of NTTD Annual Dues.”  Specific call-in information will be sent out in advance of the meeting. Please put this on your calendar.

We understand this is a lot of information, but please know that we are vigorously working to make up for lost time in Point Clear.  With all this being said, we would like to leave you with some exciting news . . . On behalf of the Executive Board, we are excited to announce that the 2018 NTTD Annual Conference will be held in Chattanooga, Tennessee and we cannot wait to see each of you in Tennessee next October!
